For those of you (like myself) in anguish over this scorching (Miami) spring heat, here’s a take on one of our favorite spring drinks: lavender lemonade!
Country Time Lavender Lemonade to get more specific.
I first tried lavender lemonade 2 years ago at a best friends wedding, and it’s been on my to-do-list since.
I’ve seriously been promising everyone I’d make this for months now!
I finally got around to it last weekend, and I forgot how freaking delicious this stuff is!
Lavender Lemonade is THE best spring/summer drink, a must!
I mean…not saying you can’t have this any other time of the year but there’s really something about having this during these sweltering Miami days.
Anyway, back to the recipe—which I modified and made even easier!
I used this lavender lemonade recipe from All Recipes and instead of using fresh lemons (because I didn’t have enough) I used Country Time lemonade powder.
I was actually very skeptical but went ahead and went for it—did not have high hopes for this one haha
All I did was take a handful of culinary lavender and throw it in 2 cups boiling water and let it seep for 10 minutes.
I then drained it and let sit until it cooled off.
For the lemonade, mix two of the little scoops (comes in the lemonade box) with two cups of water.
Pour that delicious lavender tea you just made right into the lemonade and voila!
I promise you it’s pretty amazing, and your house will no kidding me smelling like a field of lavender for the next couple of hours. So give it a try before summer is over!
